The Silver Lake Love Community Project has really taken on a life of its own. Due to overwhelming response from the local community in regards to our first community closet location, we have expanded to nearby Atwater Village.
We have seen, both firsthand and from third party accounts, the impact that this community project has had on the homeless and the low income population.
From the homeless population side, we have seen the benefits go towards both men and women in providing immediate clothing needs. Conversely, it is a great method by which to donate clothing and other items that will benefit the homeless population directly, with no need for an intermediary entity.
